As standard, the PJS ‘MaxiJet’ machine is based on a flat bed table complete with X Y axis control systems run on high precision ball screws for increased accuracy. The cutting table offers in its standard format a cutting area of 3m x 2m with the cutting head mounted on a single motorised Z axis – but other sizes are available on request.
The jet of water for cutting is generated by an Ultra-High Pressure (UHP) intensifier which is integrated into an electro-hydraulic power pack. The maximum operating pressure of the intensifier is 3,800 bar (55,000psi) and all components used in the system are rated to operate at a working pressure of 4,000 bar (60,000psi).
Cutting speeds of up to 12m/min can be achieved with a machine accuracy of around 70 microns in 300 mm.
Both abrasive and pure water systems are available with single or twin head cutting systems. |
